    FIGHT!!!!

Sorry, couldn't resist... I'm not very clued up about the rewards that cards offer... I'd take a complete guess and say that if you were to monetarise (is that a word?) each reward, you'd be better off with the airmiles. However the money-back card would give you much more freedom for you to use the reward on and the BA airmiles might not be much of a reward at all if you can't collect enough airmiles in order to put them to use?

But as I said, I have no idea about the rewards that each of the card gives, I was just giving a very rough guess.

It depends on how many BA miles you expect to collect and whether you expect to spend 10k on the card...

Through a combination of flying for work, Tesco deals (1000 points converts to 2800 BAmiles) and the Premium plus card, I collect 200-250k miles per year. Some more dedicated Tesco trawlers collect even more.

So my wife and I are off to India in April, travelling first class. For me, that first class ticket effectively cost the fee on the card, and £150 for a first class ticket to India trumps the 200ish quid I'd have got back on a cashback card on 10k spend.

    YMMV :)

(actually, I don't pay the £150 so it's even better!)

Why don't you paythe £150? Special deal?

I'd assume by not going first class!

I have a Plat Charge card from before the recent Ts & Cs change so I get the PP BA card for nothing.
