Game.co.uk - Customer Service Disgrace

I wanted to see how many people out there had discovered how bad Game.co.uk's customer service is.
Like most I never really considered a customer service issue with Game.co.uk until I had a problem.
Firstly lets start right out with the fact that the only telephone contact with game, even if they have made an error as was my case, is a premium rate 10p a minute. Like many of these services you wont be surprised top hear that this line held me for over 10 mins with no answer and no ideal of holding time.
In this period Game will have actually earned over 70p for my call about there mistake.
They sent me the wrong item, the shops wont help you if they can avoid it, and they did. As of yet my problem is unresolved.
In this day and age on online retailing, this is not good enough.

I can't do anythng about the poor service but this may save you money on contacting them. http://www.saynoto0870.com/companysearch.php
Number given is 01256 784024 which is local rate. I use the above site to find numbers for various companies I use a lot. Especially things like insurance etc. I then program them into my phone. It has saved me a fortune.0 -
Have you tried their customer services online contact form?
On the right hand side of the page, opposite where you fill in your name, is a "contact us" button "if you need to talk to us directly".
Don't know how efficient this is as my order from Game was fine and came quickly.0 -
I had to deal with Game's customer service in December, when a game I had ordered for Xmas didn't arrive. The girl I spoke to was fantastic, said that they had a ten day wait before they could reissue it, so she gave me her email address so I could email her directly when the ten days was up, and she would organise the reissue.
She replied very quickly to say she had organised it, and I got an email confirmation of the despatch as well, in addition they paid for next day delivery as I hadn't received the first one.
I actually found their head office contact number (national rate) and used that, they transferred me to customer services. I can't remember how I found it now though. Hopefully you will get your issue resolved soon - don't give up hope, there is at least one helpful customer services rep there!0 -
I tried to contact Game HO yesterday at approximately 11am and was on hold for a total of 45 minutes - i didn't get a chance to speak to anyone either - wasn't particular impressed but i did use the normal number so it didn't cost me any extra.Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0
