Old British Gas tariff (gas) - please help!

I cannot get much sense out of British Gas but believe they are overcharging on my prepayment meter which should be set to the "Essentials" tariff.

Please could somebody with a pre-August bill for a credit meter for GAS (East Midlands) area confirm the two rates (and whether inclusive or exclusive of VAT).

I'm afraid that wouldn't help - the tariffs were different for historical reasons.
What do screens 9 & 10 say on the meter - this'll help identify if you are on the tariff or not.

I dont work on the prepayment team, but my understanding was that you pay the same rate as everyone else, then you recieve a refund slip to make up the differnce that you can take down to the post office and cash?

Tommy - The majority of Essentials customers on PP had their meter tariff changed in the autumn so no more need for a rebate.
Some cusomters didn't pick this message up, so will still be due a rebate.

Thought of something else you can check. Can't remember the number, but there is a screen showing how much you need to use at Tier 1 each day. If you are on essentials I think this will stilss show something like 12.5, if not it will show something like 7.4
