there's also the general feeling that nothing beats personal contact for getting a job, so trawling the local agences with your cv is a worthwhile use of time. And then follow up if they seem to have 'your' kind of job, so that they think of you when a good one comes in.

In general though the jobcentre are okay, remember that ususally the good points go unspoken.

In proportion to the millions of people tehy deal with each year, the problems with the job finding part are very small, most problems relate to the benefits side,

But you also have to remember a large amount of jobs never get listed at the Job Centre.

That is unfortunately largely (not totally) due to many employer's perceptions of Jobcentre clients being far from impressive. It is improving however due to local liasion with larger employers and the marketing team of JCP finally making an increased effort with their budget.

  • This isn't really moneysaving more asking for a bit of advice.

I work in PC Support and basically the job I have at the minute is making me very very depressed to the point where I came home tonight and just cryed my eyes out.

I have updated my CV and posted it onto Jobserve, Jobsite, and Reed

Can anyone receommend any IT Jobsites in Hampshire and Bershire where I can look for jobs. I would love to be able to walk in tomorrow and quit but I have some debts to pay so can't afford to.

I am looking for a job that pays £25K+ if anyone knows of anything like this I would appreciate a pm.

Thanks for taking the time to read this

there is this you can leave your CV there and the employers contact you rather than the other way round

    Hello Jobhunter

    Welcome to the MSE site.

One of the links is to a thread I started recently, because I'm also looking for a job. I hope you are successful soon. Being at work is a big chunk of your day (life) and it's awful if you're miserable there.

    Best Wishes

You might consider seeing your doc as well. I have suffered similarly in the past and was able to get help.

Don't rely on that though. From personal experience people phone you up for completely unrelated crap.
