mmmm...good advice above..but if your wife NEEDS an op,why wont a nhs hospital do,if you dont have the money??.They do all ops that private ones do surely
.now if she WANTS an op that nhs feel is not ness (cosmetic etc) then fair enough go private and pay.
dont mean to sound critical or nosy, just dont know why you would go into debt when you possibly dont need to.
ps Will wife be able to work after op for a while as you referred to her overtime as paying for it?TO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0 -

Yes, it is cosmetic but also very painful as it causes her to have backpain. We aould have to wait years probably to have the op done, hence the decision to have it done sooner rather than later.0 -

Oooh I think know what it is. did she not pass for NHS treatment with that? Or she did but couldn't bear the wait (no pun intended, haha)

Was told that the Health Auhority doesn't pay for the treatment so had to look at Private if she wanted to go ahead. I can understand to a certain degree as it is cosmetic but she really suffers due to it.0 -
thats awful... she is in physical pain from it and they wont nhs op, but some one in mental pain coz they aren't big enough could get op..disgusting.
hope she is ok afterwards, sounds like it could hurt a whileTO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0 -

Thanks Kavanne and yes it can be frustrating but realise that it is all a lottery and it seems we have lost out. I am trying to be philisophical but doesn't help when I sign for that big loan.
If it rids her of the pain then it will be worth it.
Thanks all you good people of MSE0
