British Gas - Service Visits - Arggghhhh!

Hi,

I am about at the end of my tether with BG. Today was the second time in 3 months that I have taken time off work to wait for a repairman to fix a fault only to have them not turn up.

Both times, I contacted BG close towards the end of our agreed 'slot' to be told that the engineer would be with me shortly. No longer than 10 mins after putting down the phone was I called back to be told that they would not be able to get to me that day!!!

Surely they should be accountable for the time I am taking off work to wait for them.

I am aware, through conversations with previous repair engineers, that the guys/girls in the vans have NO control over their daily jobs and can be sent all over the place.

Can someone please advise what my best course of action is to raise this complaint?
