I'm a bit confused as I've just gone to do my Tesco online shop (first time in ages) and it wouldn't accept my visa card (electron) which as everyone above has stated they won't.

However the reason I'm confused is because I've used the Visa Electron online via Tesco's for the past year with no problems I don't have any other cards so I know it was the electron card they took.

Have you been putting it through as a normal visa and they have been accepting it?

I got stiched with asda and the resevere payment. I didn't know it was them, took nearly a week before someone at Co op said to ring asda as it was a similar amount to what they took the day after. Got the money unfroze, & thankfully i not happened this week.
asda apologised, luckly i didn't have any missed dd as a result.

When I checked with Tesco's they confirmed that they do not take Visa Electron at the moment but they will be in the near future. I'm not sure how you managed to use your Visa Electron Nicole - Tesco's Internet must have missunderstood your card? I've just tried mine this evening and it still won't accept it. But I did read somwhere that Tesco was changing it's systems at the end of Feb so maybe I'll try again then!
