Prepaid gas electric meters

Prepaid gas & electric meters as we all know you pay extra for their use. Is this fair, can this also be a case of unfair charges being [FONT=&quot]levied as with the banks etc. Can the utilities be taken to court to recover the excess.

  • I thought most companies had put their ppm charges in line with normal credit meters now? Why do you have a ppm in? Was it installed so you could pay off a debt? Was it there when you moved in? Why have you not asked to have it taken out if you think you are paying extra?

Things cost more if you are a credit risk. If you are not a credit risk, get rid of your prepayment meter.

Utility companies are businesses, not charities. So they will charge whatever they can get away with.
