Well thanks for her replies I have now put all your advice into action. However upon changing my password for administrator i now seemed to have locked my self out of my own pc as i've forgotten it! Yup i'm not the most it literate!!

it's a sewcond hand windows pc with xp is it? i've been tralling through the net i have no cd just the acer one. think i'm !!!!!!ed. own fault eh. any other options0

The computer is a Acer Aspire SA80 2GB.
I have the acer cd am I better off completely starting off from fresh and then reinstallign windows? would that work?0
