  • Suitable for Sky HD also, which doesn't utilise "Full HD" so you needn't spend extra if that is the only HD source you have/need.
  • I think I'd want piece of mind...
Do you want a piece of my mind? Peace of mind is much better! :rotfl:

I purchased this TV (at least I think it's the same one, as this appears to be the rebranded version of it) DabsLink I paid about £375 at the time, in 11 days I will have had it for 1 year and it's been a good TV, the upscaler isnt that great, but it has 1 pc, composite(not to be confused with s-video), and a VGA port so that's 4 HD sources. Not having FreeView isnt a HUGE disadvantage if your going to use it with a HD receiver or a HD upscaling box. I find that it's not as good as my samsung down stairs, but at half the price it's not that much of a let down! If it is indeed a rebranded Hannsg then I would say it's a fairly good set for the money, but beware those who want to wall mount - THIS UNIT CAN NOT HAVE THE BASE REMOVED AND DOES NOT HAVE MOUNTING HOLES.

    Er......

The data sheet for the one advertised on the DABS website says this set is

"VESA compatible for easy wall mounting"

so I think the base can be removed and it does have the mounting holes, although a decent wall bracket might cost another £20.

    :p

PS: The Hannspree JT02 only had 1x HDMI - this one has 2x.

    My JT02 has 2 HDMI.
ComputerShopper (first google hit) also list it with 2

Tho I admit it's not a great TV, it's a great price for it's size.

Sainsburys had a 37" Toshiba 1080p LCD TV in the shop today for £479 I believe, that's a pretty good deal.

I'm sure they do, but that is £179 more! I don't doubt that it is a better telly, but honestly will Eastenders look £179 better?

    Well, the first Google hit I get is actually this one under "Shopping Results";

    http://www.kikatek.com/product_info.php?products_id=39023&source=froogle

which lists the JT02-37E2 as having 1x HDMI.

    :p

But you're right, other links do say two, so it must be a mistake (although I do recall Hannspree making a lower spec version with only 1x HDMI - it did cause a lot of confusion at the time).

    ;)

To bigvince76: You're right- there are definitely some programmes where it's far better to have the cast looking a bit fuzzy, and Eastenders is top of the list IMO!

Eastenders might not, but other programmes might as this is a full HD telly. I'm not saying it's the best deal in the world, but it's a pretty good price for a 37" full HD TV.
  • Well it is on it's way, I am so excited! Anything has to be better than the rubbish Goodmans 21" tv it will replace. I will let you all know what it is like when it arrives tomorrow.
