securing an adhoc network

i have just set up an adhoc network at my fathers office.
i am just using two usb wireless adapters.

i am concerned that it is not very secure.

what can i do to make sure noonw breaks into his computers.

    Enable the firewall on the two computers with exceptions for each other to allow data to be shared betweeb the two but bot by anyone else
