RE-wiring of flat.

Hello
I was told it would cost at least £4000 to re-wire my 2 bed (73sq metre) flat in west London.
There is already a new fuse box in place. Does this amount sound reasonable? I have no idea about costs but it just sounds pretty high.
Thanks in advance

Get a couple more quotes from registered electricians.
You should use a competent person for the work, links below
In Scotland:
Individuals registered;

Companies

Thanks for replying.
This is a so called "trusted" electrician as well. I know nothing about electrics, but even that didn't sound quite right.
I shall look at the websites you recommended and also try getting someother quotes.

Post your job on myhammer.co.uk I saved over 400 quid by using that site when having a new consumer unit fitted. Just make sure you say you need a part P certified sparky. You need to check this yourself as well - easy to do online though.0
