I'm seeing these faux leather dining chairs everywhere.
Does anyone have faux leather furniture?
What are the pitfalls? Is it good stuff?

Someone gave us some which we used for a while. They're easy to wipe clean if you have kids and were relatively comfortable.
I can't complain about them at all, I'm just not into faux anything and you're right, they are everywhere. Mine are in the garage waiting for me to venture in and ebay them.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I've got them, but mine are real leather.
When I see the faux ones I'm amazed at how small & mean looking the chairs are.
Mine weren't a bad price for real ones & they are high & deeper & padded.
If you saw real & then looked at faux you would notice it straight away.
Have you looked at real ones?0 -
Well, I'm looking on Ebay and the place is full of faux leather dining chairs.
I just want to know if it's worth being a snob (and harming an animal if you're that way inclined) and sticking to leather?
Haven't really seen any 'in the flesh'."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -
They're a bit shiny. You wouldn't really mistake them for leather. They'll make your bum sticky before leather does too!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You make it sound as though you sit on them naked!"fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -

They are actually better wearing than most leather chairs, they also don't have the associated problems of leather ie; cracking, fading etc.
Unless you are a " leather snob " buy them.;)0 -
I've seen plenty of faux leather with cracking and fading. Some kinds might be more durable than real leather, but some are less so.0

I've had real leather ones for nearly 4 years & they are used daily & still look new:D

How many people would buy a faux leather sofa, its the same thing isn't it?0
