I started to order from the dvdsetshop.com and was all set to enter my card details (I never saw a link to Paypay) and realised there was no security lock icon showing or an https for secure in the site address line and thought this site might be slightly dodgy.
A bit of checking later and thanks to this forum, which you'll be pleased to know is now in the top three results when I Googled, I don't think I'll risk it.

DO NOT buy from w w w.dvdsetshop.co.uk!!! I ordered a DVD Set before Christmas from their site believing I was buying genuine DVDs from a UK based Company. The DVDs arrived 3 weeks later from Bejing, China. They were very obviously 'fake' DVDs and were very poor quality. I complained to DVDSETSHOP and they apologized (blaming their shipping Company). The asked me to return the DVDs and they would refund me within 72 hours. That was 10 days ago and I am still waiting for the refund and it's looks unlikely that I will get one. Their UK style website states '100% Satisfaction Garaunteed' and they have a return policy but they are obviously 'scam' merchants. I advise all potential customers to steer clear.

Im new to this site but where do i start about this shambolic company they call the dvdsetshop?! I am disgusted with their service. I ordered the box set of James Bond films for my son in November and they were scratched, boxes torn and very badly packed. They said they sent out replacements but i never received them. In the end i bought them from HMV in mint condition and it cost me a tenner more but well worth it. I used paypal when i ordered and i was promised a full refund in 24 hours which then went up to 72 hours but i have had nothing or no reply from them.This was well over a week ago. Worse still, i had to pay to return their faulty goods. My question is: Is there any way we could take legal action on this company as they are based in China. Thanks.

Where do we start with web sites like this ? Well it all starts when you,ve had a few beers (yes thats you and me i'm talking to) we find the bargain of the century and then wonder why it all goes tits up! I found star trek VOYAGER 1-7 for about 45 quid, thought it a great bargain so went for it. Did the business with my card (again you have to be !!!!ed to do this without checking the website and reviews) but we all do it dont we.(welcome to mr and mrs G.ULLIBLE).Anyway having paid for them and then reading the bad reviews about the site i sent them an email regarding this.They replied saying that the quality and service they provided was of a very high quality and i need not worry.They sent me a tracking number the next day.I recieved the parcel today opened it with trepidation only to find they were in perfect condition and they are genuine discs all in the original boxes.They are made for the asian market due to the subtitles (english japenese chinese x 2) which work perfectly.I have tried random discs and they are very good they have slightly raised printing on them, that to me, confirms they are genuine. If you order anything from this site i suggest you send them an email concerning the bad reviews you have seen and then you MAY get the quality i recieved. I CAN ONLY REVIEW THIS SITE ON THE SERVICE I HAVE RECIEVED . Which to be fair has been ok.

thanks for your very witty reply (yer right, the old ones are the best) as i said i can only judge by what happened to me.I am considering ordering NEXT GENERATION from my second bank account to which i transfer just enough funds for the transaction (or did you not think of doing something of a similar nature)( oh dear never mind how sad). If you have had a bad experience with this website its because of your greed (and mine) that you (and I) did not check it first,the £ sign or lack of it got in the way of common sense telling us that ALARM BELLS ARE RINGING.I, it would seem, have been very lucky to recieve exactly what i asked for, also true in some cases but not true in many cases.If you and others,me as well,continue to use dodgy websites without first checking them out stop crying HELP HELP ITS NOT MY FAULT. It is all our faults for being so stupid. If you want to use your credit/debit card on the internet be sure you are on a SECURE site and use paypal if you can, if you cannot then be VERY VERY CAREFUL AND WARY. Do not do transactions over the internet when you are HALF CUT they always seem like the best bargain under the sun. That bargain will still be there tomorrow under the cold light of a headache.BE SURE AND BE SAFE.Do not blame the sites they are just out there waiting for people like us.If you want to apportion blame look to the USA who control the web,they should close these places down (along with child !!!!!! sites) but apparently they cannot.why we do not know.Be careful and may your god be with you.

Yes dvdsetshop in any form is a scammers website thank you for saving me alot of hassle as now i will just buy from Amazon.com these guys hit you with spam right away...just a warning and i am posting to the paramount website on the fake stuff...boxes are the tipoff...but glad i checked here first as i did not want to buy cheap knockoffs
