Can we save?
I can't figure out the comparison section of utilities, I prob need to sit down and take a good look at it but I am wondering if there is any liklihood of us saving. We currently are charged £92 a month for Gas (With Manweb) and £136 for electricity (with eon), we pay by direct debit already however so theres no real saving we could make there. Can we still save on this or will it literally come down only if we live in the dark?
Many thanks

You are paying an enormous amount for your energy. Way above the average. There are 4 people in our house and we pay £85 a month in total. How many people live in your household?
You will definitely be able to save something. For a start, most people can save by taking their gas and electric from the same supplier on a dual fuel tariff. You will also be able to save by switching to an online tariff, where you get your bills by logging into their website, instead of through the post.0 -
Many thanks, i'll have to look into it in depth then. There are only 4 adults, no pensioners or anything like that so we aren't using heating or anything more than is usual. Slightly concerned that i'd forget to keep tabs of it online although if i arrange everything to come out once a month then it will become a habit checking. Can't believ we could potentially be getting it for so much less0

You're paying twice as much as us for electricity (six of us including four carbon-fiends). How do you use so much?
Gas wise, you're paying about 30% more than we do - hot water for six, gas CH in 3 bed house and gas cooker.
And I think we're high users!0
