They should have asked me, I'm just hanging the old tea bags on the washing line.

I remember a story I heard about a guy last year who would do the shopping with his wife and then tell her to walk home and he would drive home with the shopping as without her in the car there would be less weight and he would save on petrol!!:eek:Keep the Faith:cool:0

Have you been spying on me again?0 -
I know a guy who would take an empty flask to work with him and bring home hot water, he also did his washing at work too. I used to share driving to work with him and he would free wheel down any hill. He was divorced and when he had the kids at the weekend he would find car showrooms that had sales events with free food and drink to feed his kids.4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.0

I'm surprised he's not committed suicide given that he's using up oxygen that others could use? Where's he live? Sad b******.

"and a woman who lives in a castle but shops in cut-price supermarkets, divides dishwasher tablets in half "
Surely this is just MSE practice, and a is really just a cheap shot by the plonkers who got us all into the credit crisis by living beyond their means and borrowing to the hilt?
They now want to deride the thrifty for saving money and still expect us [taxpayers] to bail them outEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Come on though, there is thrifty and there is downright tight@rsed!;)"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
My first thought was why not just give up tea if you're going to be that tight?! Hardly one of the essentials in life!
Reading the guide has made me wonder if the lady living in the castle isn't one of these people desperately trying to keep the family heritage alive and has basically sod all cash otherwise?! There's a few about. often seen driving clapped out Land Rovers and Volvo estates!0
