Branston spaghetti - what a rip off!

My local Sainsbury's had a three for a pound offer on tins of Branston spaghetti so I thought I would try them.
The spaghetti is a joke. You get literally about 1/6th of a tin of spaghetti and the rest of the tin is full of really thin, watery, tasteless tomato sauce if you can call it sauce - it has the consistency of water. I have never bought a tin of anything where you get so little food for your money. I certainly shall not buy it again and I can't see anyone else buying it twice either. Surely Branston will lose customers through this.

i like it plus i like the beans - by the way the beans are four tins for 75p at Morrisons
Guess people like different things0 -
I buy it regularly never had one tin 1/6th full. Its quiet tasty but not as nice as it use to be, the beans also are not as nice as they use to be but still better than many other brands and none brands0

Sounds like something wrong with your buys as I'm sure they wouldn't ruin a good reputation with a rubbish product on purpose. They have spent a fortune building a strong product to rival Heinz Baked Beans, which everyone thought couldn't be done, and have now extended their range significantly. I'd write to them with your comments, or take a tin back to Sainsburys and show them the problem0

Branston is owned by Heinz0 -
Branston is owned by Heinz
No - it's owned by Premier Foods, who own many of the old traditional British brands these days. On the tinned beans/spaghetti etc front Heinz is their main opposition!

I found the same bought them by mistake ,thought i was picking up their beans.
They were very watery with a thick tomato sludge at the bottom.
We prefer their beans to heinz they are bigger beans and the sauce is good quality .Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
My wife is only a snob when it comes to one thing - Baked Beans. She won't entertain any brand other than Heinz. Until......I took a flyer and bought 4 of the Branston beans on offer at Morrisons and held my breath. Result! She LOVES them and says they are better than Heinz. Praise indeed. Needless to say I have since stocked up on Branston beans.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Oh and the beans are so good! I haven't tried the spagetti but I've been converted to Branston Beans. Tried the macaroni too and it was quite nice.0
