Motor Insurance: Recovering uninsured excess

Hi

My apologies if this has been covered elsewhere in the forum.

I was recently involved in a no fault accident - hit from the rear by an insured driver who admitted liability - the claim is going thru' ok but i didn't have Uninsured Loss cover and need to claim from, i presume, the other parties insurers my £250 excess.

Am I correct in this and, if so, how do i go about it?

If this is all you have to claim for it's very simple; post copy of excess receipt (showing paid) from repairer to third party insurance company advising you hold their driver fully responsbile and seek reimbursement.

Keep a copy of the letter and the receipt and give your full name and address for the cheque to be sent.
