    Keep saving and waiting...

The grass will not need cutting until late March  (early August :p ).
The McCulloch appears to be a great buy, the next cheapest Briggs & Stratton will be a Mountfield and these are £150+.... Tesco's have one for £199.
Hayter, the choice of quality, use the Briggs & Stratton engine ITS SO Reliable.

Don't buy Challenge or PowerDevil unless they are really cheap and you are not going to use them much (nuf said!)

    I bought the challange one.

I don't expect it will last too long, if I get 2 summers out of it I will be very pleased. Then I will get a self propelled one.

It was £50, I've got so much else to buy, if it stops the garden turning into a jungle for 2 years I'm a winner.

    Thanks
    Kim

The Briggs is average, but better than Tecumseh and Chinese built engines. The most reliable and easy to start is the Honda, but that is reflected in the price.

You will find decent Petrol Lawnmowers at Benji's in Llanidloes, Powys for under £50. They dont have a website unfortunately
