Income Protection Insurance - Loss adjuster visit

Since being made redundant in July I've been receiving income protection payments from my insurance company. I've been keeping them up to date with ABI1 forms from Jobcentre plus and evidence of me having been looking for jobs (I've applied for over 200).
Now a loss adjuster is coming to see me next week. I'm sure its just standard procedure but is there anything I need to know about such a visit? It feels a bit like I'm in trouble with the teacher

Loss adjusters investigate ongoing ppi claims usually by telephone interview or field visit. They will most likely take a statement from you about your claim.
If your claim is geniune then I wouldn't worry it is normal practice however in the unlikely even that your claim is not 100% in order I'd strongly recomend you withdraw it immediatly as it may be the insurers have obtained evidence of fraud.
That said, I would stress that loss adjuster involvement in PPI claims is normal and is likely to become more common. Just remember if you have nothing to hide and your doing everything you can to find work then you have nothing to worry about.0 -
