confused

Hi guys great site this.Im looking for some info please if possible.I have 50k of savings in my account which i feel are doing nothing.I like the idea of buying and selling shares for some income e.g gold us. dollar.can anyone put me in the right direction Thanks in advance:money:

    Be aware, your savings will go down by inflation less interest after tax, which may mean it even goes up. Gold can and has in the past, dropped like a stone. Shares can become valueless, as many peeps have learned, particularly in the last few months. Some city experts, who can be notoriously wrong, are predicting that the dollar is due for a long slide.
    There are plenty of companies who will gladly take your money to buy shares, of course, these days you have far less control over them, or indeed the company/companies that you have invested in. The move from share certificates was a massive disenfranchisement in my humble opinion.
  • So maybe to get the ball rolling should i be paying my Fadvisor a vist at my bank.Are these guys any good

    Not really no. They have limited products to offer you so may not suite your needs.
