sainsbury internet saver down to 1.75%

following yesterdays drop, they have changed the rate this morning to 1.75, thank god i only have £1 in it now! wonder if they will increase it as quick as they drop it when the rates start increasing again

I was quite surprised a few months ago when Sainsburys started dropping their savings rates the day after BOE decisions instead of waiting until the first day of the following month as most seem to do. As far as I can see Sainsburys are trading well, in the current climate, and aren't in any sort of trouble?

Moved all but twenty pounds out of my Sainsburys account back in November when I opened my TPF Internet Saver. I got a 'phone call an hour after I pressed the transfer button asking if I was aware someone was trying to withdraw the majority of my savings from the account. I exlained where it was going and the lady on the other end said "I don't blame you." ... lol!

A very good account while the interest rates were around the 5-6% mark (and much easier to open and use than Tesco's!!!) , but a bit pointless now! :-(
