Quote for installation of new combi-boiler
SBOD
I have just been quoted £1925 to have my now obsolete, Servowarm elite 50 boiler replaced with a Ferroli f30 combi boiler. Price includes new copper pipework to run round outside of house to gas metre outside front of house, removal of old water storage tanks etc. from airing cupboard in bathroom, 2 days work and 12 months warranty on parts and labour. There is 2 years manufacturers warranty on the boiler.
Could anyone confirm whether or not this sounds like a good deal?
Many thanks

Good afternoon: A very cheap boiler (Band B efficiency): I would avoid this Ferroli product and get quotes for another brand eg. Vaillant, Worcester

Thanks Canucklehead

I've since had another quote from a different engineer for installing a Worcester Bosch 30 cdi for approx £1,700. I'm surprised that the quote is for less, as from what I can make out from these forums the WB Boiler is far superior!? He also says that he can run the pipe work under the floor boards as a 22mm pipe runs from the metre (but currently steps down to 15mm at some point) - The other engineers who quoted me £1,925, said that they would have to run a completely new 22mm pipe to the metre, as from what they could see (they did not look inside the metre) there was only a 15mm pipe running from the current boiler.
Please help!
