now says this on there website
01/01 - 13/01/09: CLOSED (24hr voicemail)
14/01/09 onwards: 9:00am – 5:00pm
so fingers crossed for tomorrow, i found out today, that my friend has got acommodation booked with them. so i'll be checking regularly for her.0 -
I've spoken to my credit card company and they've been excellent. I've got an email from the hotel stating that the rooms were cancelled. They've told me to keep the email as proof of cancellation just in case the hotel has made a mistake. They've also told me to re-book the hotel using another agency. They will then endeavour to reclaim the money from WSH Travel or the bank WSH use. Either way they've said I'll definitely get my money back (even if they fail to get it).
So, if I were you I'd tell you friend to check with her hotel and try and get something in writing, then check with your credit card company (I hope she did use a credit card?).
I don't hold out much hope of WSH Travel opening tomorrow.
Best of luck0 -

Well it's ashame,
but i think a lot of us expected it.0 -
Good luck to those who didn't book using a credit card. Despite claiming 20 years of trading, the Companies House records shows the company was only formed in 2005!0
-
There may be some good news, there is apparently a trust account with money in it so all may be lost! Contact the liquidators for further information0

Hi, I have just had to register to talk to someone, so please bare with me, I have just today found out that Winter Sunshine Holiday's has in fact gone into liquidation. I am not due to go on Holiday till August, I booked via my credit card and paid in full as I had 18 people's money. credit card company said they would send me a form and would see what they can do, are they at liberty to pay out?? they didn't sound hopeful to me and I am worried.0
-
Yes the credit card should pay out under Section 75 provided you paid more than £100.
Details of claiming from the administrators were on their website. That was until the website was changed to announce that they are relaunching.............
