A question for brokers...

...if someone enquires about dental cover, where should I go? I am aware of a Healthsure cash plan, Denplan and WPA (pricey) but are there any others who can do this??

Many thanks in advance.

I'm not a broker, but personally I would want to find a dentist that I'm happy with first and then see what they offer (ours recently changed from denplan to something more cheap and cheerful).

If you pick a plan first you might narrow down your choice of dentist and that might not be good in terms of service or convenience.

I dont know if there are any brokers here. Obviously a few intermediaries but I doubt any are authorised for dental. You never know though.

Sorry - not sure if I am explaining myself properly: I used to recommend Healthsure dental plans if someone was interested in dental insurance - but this is now a cash-plan only (including physio/optical etc etc) therefore with less cover.

I was looking to see if there was a dental-only insurance policy out there still? Denplan is ok but there are others like Westfield who offer policies where you can claim back a percentage.

    Any ideas??

  • Think OP is a broker himself so prob not looking to recommend direct product(s).

...this is true and I think Tesco is AXA and therefore Denplan and therefore not amazing...(Lisyloo is alluding to this type of cover where there is a direct link with dentist)

  • Healthsure and Tesco do one, your right Tesco's is AXA run but they've got a good offer on. HSA also do a special dental one aswell as their normal cash plan so thats another option
