yesterday my firewall etc went off?

tried turn back on again, everything come on, except the firewall (avg 8.0)
says something wrong with communication with drivers (running vista)

anyhow, went on website did the reconfigure standalone computer thing, which usually works when this happens - no joy

so did the network thing on local network properties, but could not find any mention of drivers to uninstall n reinstall

then downloaded avg 8.0 to run repair and i got this message

Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for file avgfws8.exe: stopping service....
Error 0x8007041d

so then i went to send diagnostic file to avg when it wont send cos it failed....

tried ring up at 945am said were not open till 830 am??????

anyhow, they apparently moving so not open till 13th or something, so i emailed super slow customer support, which are super slow?

any ideas? cheers

Are you using the free or the paid for version of AVG?
I'd suggest doing a complete uninstall, and do a registry clean up afterwards using ccleaner.
Make sure the windows firewall is switched back on.
    Then try reinstalling the product.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

AVG 8 FREE is an anti virus ONLY
the paid version is the full suite (Which includes a firewall)

    anyways
    Use the AVG removal tool
    http://www.avg.com/download-tools

The if its the paid for version ~ reinstall it (Though I personally wouldnt)
if its the free version(Or u wanna take my advice and get rid anyways)

Install AVAST or AVIRA instead (make sure windows firewall is turned on)
