  • The price would not be honoured at the till. The price you pay is basicly the price in which the till states. If proof of price listed elsewhere is brought in showing that it is different compared to the till staff can then check this on the main computer system which has EVERY advert etc listed on it. Miss prices however are not normally honoured unless the difference is very small. Most managers will refuse outright to sell at any missprice.

you havent paid for the goods and established a "contact" so they can do what they want really.

After you have paid for the goods (eg tesco's checkouts) they are screwed :D

    I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.

  • just before christmas there was a argos sales fligher offering a childs toy that my nephew collects at 9-99 and is was ment to be 39-99 so it was ment to be 19-99 half price...a friend at argos told me to take the book into the store with me when i went into the store to get a couple to put away for christmas..he said if you have the book(writen proof of the offer) they have to let you have them at that price!!!bargin..
so by all acounts they had to let me have it cos i had it written (in proof of there book) and they didnt like it but had to let me have it at that price..but they did take the book off me and moved all the books has i left the shop!!!!

you see with the book it gives you a price they have to honour (dated in the courner)!!!!please note!!!

As mentioned above, they did not have to let you have it at that price! The flyer was 'an offer to treat', you make an offer and they then decide whether to accept.....
  • if there is a wrong catalogue price , they issue overstickers for the browsers in store, if they tell you its a different price at the till then they are covered. If you pay the higher price, collect your goods then find out its advertised lower then your legally entitled to the lower price.
