Hi there,
I bought a jvc camcorder hard disk camcorder at argos over christmas model mg334 (silimar to mg330) and I need a better battery for it. The battery number is bn-vf815 and I did a search for it both on google and on ebay. Seems its available from lots of places, compatable ones that is, but with an added cable that you have to plug into the ac socket on the camcorder so as to fool the software on the camera to think its a jvc battery. Nothing illegal in this mods please note.
Has anyone got one of these batteries and would be grateful to know what you think of it, where you got it and what you paid for it? Many thanks in advance.
Joe

I've got the 823 version (slighly bigger) and it seems to work OK. There are 2 types, one has a socket in the back of a battery and a detachable wire, you can charge these using the JVC charger. The other type (which I don't have) has a fixed wire, and I think should come with it's own dedicated charger, but you'd have to check when ordering.
I bought mine from digi-quick.co.uk, I think it was about £25 with free postage, and it came in a couple of days.Out on blue six..

Thanks a lot for replies. Will have a look at those 2 sites.

Hi again,
I ordered from the digi-quick site but at checkout I wouldn't give my payment details for the following reason that I emailed to them
"Hi there, I ordered jvc battery and charger battery is bn-vf815 from your website but at checkout it stated that there is a problem with your sites security certificate and also at checkout asking for credit card details without it being a secure zone. I am sorry I am very reluctant to buy from you under these circumstances"
thanks
