No interent on son's computer

Hi, here's the problem.

Son's laptop was full of stuff which i have deleted also took it back to factory settings. He can now get his MSN no problem but when you click on internet icon there's nothing won't do anything. Does any one know how to solve the problem as it is doing my head in now. Many thanks

Download Firefox onto another computer and transfer it over http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Make sure to install all the windows updates and use a anti-virus i recommend Avira if you haven't all ready got one (unless its avg or mcafee) http://www.filehippo.com/download_antivir/

I have firefox on the main computer already

But if i cant get on the internet then i wont be able to download Windows updates, have put that antivirus on for him to

Download it on the main computer then burn it to a disk or something and transfer it over to the other computer and install it. The internet is working on the laptop as he is on MSN its just internet explorer is not working the windows updates may fix it.

so if i use his pendrive into my machine and download firefox then transfer over to his should it work then

No can't download it to pendrive so don't know what else to try
