I see A&L have just come up with Esaver3 paying 3.6% gross.....

Any bets on how long the 4% on Esaver2 will last?

I am getting so p1ssed off with these A&L multiple accounts, are all the other banks as bad?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

youve beaten me to it, i just noticed that too tonight
the % is bound to drop soon, especially as 3 is paying less, and the 0.5 interest drop today, looking at the first issue esaver, its 2.13%, wonder if issue 2 will be on a par. not so good rate when you loose interest when you withdraw
can you have more than one esaver? ie a 2 and a 3?? saying that may just pay in to one of the other accounts (ie tesco, or my skipton xmas account)
the amnesty month for withdrawls appears to be feb for the 3rd issue (not july like the 2nd issue)MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
I emptied my esaver 2 last night after i noticed the rate drop to 4% and figured it would drop again soon.0

Don't forget to try a cashback site (they were doing £20, but not sure if they still are).0 -

I would guess that eSaver 2 will drop to 3.5%, incorporating the half point cut, effective Feb 1.
For that reason I am going to open an eSaver 3, and wait and see what A&L do.
If the 3 ends up paying more than the 2 then it is a phone call on the 1st of the month to transfer funds over.
I also have my application with Tesco in the works, just waiting for all paperwork to go through, and to run a few test transactions before I move all savings across.
Managed to get the bonus, so I think they'll be the highest payer for a while yet.0 -

A&L Issue 2 will prob be 3.60% on Feb 2nd, and 3.10% on March 2nd if there is a further 0.50% base cut. It should be on par with issue 3 for a while i imagine.
Tesco is a better bet, but its annual interest.0 -
Well Issue 1 is a lot lower than Issue 2, so have no faith in A&L keeping Issue 2 & 3 on par!0

Can't see any Quidco for Issue 3 yet, so I'd wait a bit before opening an account.0
