How to play friends on PS3?

Evenin all ,

I'm posting this on behalf of my hubby to is about to sling his ps3 out of the window! lol!

He's playing pro evo 09 on the network mode and it's connecting him to whoever is available no problem. Now , his brother is also set up on this and we can see him on the username list on pro evo , but how does hubby connect directly to his brother to play him??

He tried seeting up his own room thing but the option for "invite friend" wasn't highlighted as an option , if that makes sense?

Can't seem to fugure this out , an help much appreciated?

Yes , he came out of pro evo and added him as a friend then went back onto pro evo but nothing seemed any different

if you set up (or sometimes called host/hosting) an online game you should see an option to invite players.

the game manual should have more on setting up an online game.

for example when i wanted to play friends on GTA:IV, i had to host the game by bringing up the in-game phone, select multiplayer, select the game mode i wanted then it would bring up a screen of where i could configure the options for the game which had an option of pressing either square or triangle to invite players (if they were playing gta at the same time as i started the online game)

right ok , that makes sense. He's just switching it on now and will have another go!
