Bathroom furniture worktop-Irko, Walnut or Teak

I'm looking for a bathroom furniture work top in Iroko, Walnut or Teak, or looks like these woods. Size is about 1500mm long x 320mm wide x 30mm thick. Square edged not rolled. Does anybody have any suggestions as where I might get this from.

in the past, when customers have wanted something special, i usally find you can get these types of work tops from timber merchants or speacalist builder centres

if you have a local timber merchant near you, just take in the measurements and they will quote you a price, make sure you tell them its for a vanity unit as the local place i use for this type of thing allways varnishes/stains (to customers choice) for me(small fee of course), they always do a good job and so far(touch wood ) i've never had problem or complaint about them! by the way there not cheap, but you get what you pay for

We had a solid walnut top done last year to sit two sink bowls on top. Our joiner came down with samples and ordered in specially.

However it took him three atempts to get a finish that both him and me were happy about. The first sratched easily, next showed every splash of water. Every time he completly stripped it back and sanded back to bare wood.

So I would think very carefully before going ahead, unless you get corect advice for finish. Every time you finish in the bathroom as water splashs need to be wipped off.

Saying that it looks absolutley stunning.
