Hi
I was wondering if I can access my work emails on my iphone 3G- Well i know I can via microsoft exchange however what information would i need to obtain from my work IT department in order to do this?
Also would it be possible for me to receive my work emails on my iphone 3g via microsoft exchange without work knowing? This avoids them expecting me to check and respond to emails out of hours but i would like to be able to respond when i get the time.
I currently log in to work from home and check through emails - but it would be handy to do this on my mobile - just gives me more flexibility. Ie check and work from the pub ha
Please let me know your thoughts on this if any.
Currently am thinking only method is the offical line.

Server certainly needs outlook anywhere, I think it also needs another module for iPhones. I know that the time you recieve, read and delete an email are saved onto the server, but on top of that, I'm not sure.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

hi AWOL
do you have access to Outlook Web Access?
if you do, you probably have all the information already...
when you set up the exchange for iphone you need the following
your name (easy one to start with!)
your email address (still not getting difficult)
the server address (if you have web access, outside of work, it will be the same)
your username (normally what you use to log into your computer at work)
your password (for your works computer!)
and the domain that it is on... now if you have outlook web access, you may have to type in
domain\user.name into internet explorer before you can log in.. the big before the backslash is the domain, so that is the bit you'd put in there..
it is easy enough to do, and i've set up my iphone, and numerous iphones on my works network..
