how to stop unsolicited facebook e-mails

my DH recently signed up and now I'm receiving (tho' have not joined) lots of e-mails from random facebook users (even though my e-mail account is set to exclusive)

its driving me nuts, can someone please explain how to stop them?

    Are they emails from people ?, what do the emails say ?, how are you getting the emails when your DH signed up to facebook ?,

    Hi, they just say things like

    'joe sent you a message on facebook'

    I don't even open them, am baffled

    He must have used your email address to register with:confused:

    You are able to stop these emails: in Facebook go to settings>>>>notifications. You can also see what email address he registered with here and change it if necessary.
    If you want somebody you can trust...trust yourself :cool:

    I will bet the culprit is the facebook virus
    which i was told i was infected with
    this is one of the *symptoms*
