Surround Sound not very Surround!!

You need a dvd player with onboard decoding that has 6 channel OUT phonos to go into your 6 channel IN amp
Correct for proper surround sound you will need this and then plug into the AC3 in or... an AV reciever with 6 channel output (but this would be far too expensive compared to the price of the speakers and you'd be better off buyting new speakers.
Another option is a new sound card or (maybe even existing) on the PC will allow you to connect.
Currently your speakers will be running in 5.1 stereo. That is the2 left hand speakers are playing the left side, centre is playing a mix, and the 2 right hand speakers are playing the right hand side, the sub plays the bass notes. Proper 5.1 has seperate channels for each speaker.0 -
Thanks, Ill look at returning the ones I have then. Anyone know if ebuyer.com arrange collection? Or do I need to sort out the speakers back to them?
Ive seen a couple of nice sets about, that come with a decoder.Never knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run away ..... he hates that :mad:0
