You do need to get FREE advice! (numbers and links in my sig)
You're making lots of assumptions.
You may not loose your job or house!
In the immediate term I would recommend making £1 payments towards CCs and USLs and save the money you would have otherwise used for regular payments.
BUT don't delay contacting one or more of the debt charities.

Ok thanks for letting me knowMoney, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world. :rolleyes:0 -
I'm not too sure about the losing job situation but the main way to raise money for BR is to stop paying your creditors for a few months and save the money there. It's important that you and your children have enough food and warmth first. After you stop paying you will start to get phone calls and letters which aren't very nice and can make you stressed but they will stop eventually after BR.
As advised above talk to CAB and the other debt charities about your circumstances especially regarding housing and benefits if you lose your home and job.
The most important thing is your's and your child's welfare.0 -
If the phone calls get too stressful, you can request a change of number from your supplier. But call one of the debt charities now :grouphug:Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

Please do call CAB etc...
There are so many benefits and options out there. Thousands of pounds everyyear go unclaimed. Your welfare, food and warmth has to come first. We stopped paying our creditors about 3mths ago and havent gone BR yet and the worst that happened was a particularly nasty letter from N.wide c.card company that upset me. We called the CAB and their manageress kindly rang them for me and explained the situation. No more nasty letters and despite the letter saying that someone would be arriving at my door to collect the monies owed, the guy on the phone told the CAB that it wasnt happening anyway!!!!
Good luck and keep in touch with the forum, it really is helping us...

Im assuming you get to the CAB at 10am when they open? We filled in a form and had to wait a while but were told we could make an appt if we wanted. You dont have to go to your local CAB if you cant get seen there (as far as Im aware). Try some of the other free charities, in the signatures of the other members on here. They really are helpful.
Personally cant praise CAB enough but maybe Ive just been lucky. Keep trying with the helplines - There is so many people in trouble out there, they
must have contingencies for this sort of thing and so many of the peeps on this forum have been through similar things. Good luck xx0 -
as suggested if you cant get to the CAB try any of the FREE helplines belowWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
