For those who don't want to pay ebay prices but are willing to pay £35 more than RRP for a premium system complete with 1 years warrenty CEX (computer exchange) are now selling the Xbox premiums for £325 see https://www.cex.co.uk.
I know it's not as great as paying the RRP but might help someone in a bind.0 -
Thanks for the heads-up batman, but I wouldn't recommend CEX. Very bad customer service IME and they are second hand machines. It would have been an OK price (for anyone desperate) if they were new machines. But then again, anyone desperate for one would have already bought one by now, I guess, heh.
Oh and that's £45 over RRP0 -
Does anyone know where there are any XBOX 360 20Gb HD available?0

None online at the moment. Might find one in a retail store if you're lucky.
They are going on ebay for £95+
Personally if I had a core I'd sell (or return) it and then buy a Premium which includes the HD and other stuff. Premiums are not hard to get hold of now.0 -

DOH me and my maths !
I have seen some brand new boxed ones in CEX, most are new however cus people just bought them from Game etc and traded them in to make a profit (they were paying between £500 at launch to £310 two days ago). My experience has been OK in Solihull,Brum & Cov but Wolverhampton were at bit funny. I suppose most places are great until you have a problem & it's not resolved to your satisfaction.0 -
Ah yes, good point - some of the machines will be new but it may be difficult to distinguish between new and used units as (AFAIK) they open them all to test.
Also, just realised that the warranty is with Microsoft anyway so the CS at CEX is largely irrelevant0 -

Ture about the warrenty non issue I guess.
I know Coventry bought machines in and did not open to test the unit if the seals were intact. I understand they have dropped the prices because of rumours of large shipments of systems heading to the UK, in which case one should sit tight. But then again they did this before and then when stock was low they put the prices back up.
I guess if anyone one is intrested they could ring up the cex head office and see if their local store has a sealed one or try and get one transfered to that store or even buy from them direct. If they get funny about it then I guess what you say about their CS may be true.0 -
Anyone know anywhere with 20Gig Hard Drives in stock? I'm desperate for one so I can finally pack my old Xbox away and start playing Halo 2 on my Xbox 360.0
