xbox availability updates 2 - please post stock availability here

I read something on the internet (sorry can't find the link now) saying that HMV had changed their returns policy and a receipt is now a must. I bought an Xbox 360 bundle from Dixons with PGR and Fifa. Now I've heard Fifa isn't great so I thought I'd try HMV until I read what I mentioned earlier. However, GAME replaced the game without any real hassle. I think the key is to say is was a present but that you DIDN'T get it for Christmas. A lot of stores only do about a 21 day return policy on Christmas presents. Hope this helps anyone.

Now, back to availability. Not sure about Premiums but Dixons in Manchester still have plenty of Cores available.

Lichfield Woolworths have one Premium and one Core console in stock (as of about 10 minutes ago). Dixons in Lichfield also have posters saying XBox 360 in stock now, but I;m not sure how many they have, and which pack it is.

Oh, the ones in Woolies aren't in bundles, and they are also giving £5.00 gift vouchers when you spend £25.00, so if you buy a couple of games with it (as long as you do them in seperate transactions), you'll get £15 worth of vouchers

wooloworths blackpool (big store) has 3 premiums no bundle £279.99 - great return policy at woolies

Woolworths have them online as a bundle, but not online for single console sale. Personally I dont think its a bad bundle as they are only selling one game with the premium console - so £325.00 in total, you'll pay more than that on ebay just for the console itself.

ordered a core from hmv yesterday, it said 'dispatched within 24 hours', but still hasn't been according to 'my orders' anyone in the same boat?


Construtively, Dixons Middlesbrough and HMV Middlesbrough had core systems in stock today.

HMV don't have stock for new orders, if it shows "24 hours" then they have received stock but they are being allocated to preorders. It's how many online sites' stock systems work. See previous threads for info

I've had an order with HMV for a Premium Pack for several weeks now. No sign of anything yet.

Hopefully my Homebase order will come through tomorrow.

Chichester PC World had 2 Core boxes on the floor in their game section this afternoon. They were a bit battered though. Curry's are completely out.
