I would guess that it's deliberate to save battery life e.g. if you boot up and don't need to connect e.g to type a document etc, the WiFi would waste the battery. Is it really such a hardship to press Fn + F10 if you really do want to connect? Read the the user manual as it may be possible to change. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Not really, the person who uses it keeps forgeting to press FN+F10 key, as for the battery, the laptop is used via the mains all the time.Is it really such a hardship to press Fn + F10 if you really do want to connect?.
It was a recon machine form Dixons, no manual came with it.Read the the user manual as it may be possible to change.

You should be able to download a user guide from somewhere.
Have you tried emailing Dixons ?0 -

The point is that this is a portable device that will be optimised for maximum battery life, not being used from the mains. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
