Hi all, I hope someone can help.
I have a had a second tv (in my bedroom) which is connected to the TV out 2 on the back of sky plus box for a few years. The picture has always been ok, although not as good quality as the main tv. I have just bought a new tv for my bedroom (a flat panel Samsung if this makes a difference) and have bought a new connection kit from Maplin. However, the picture is awful. I have also connected the old lead to see if this was the problem but that is not great either. Any ideas?

New tvs are more 'revealing' of bad signals.
Can you describe WHY its awful? (bad colours, smearing, jerky picture, pixellation etc):idea:0 -
Hi thanks for your reply. It has green/yellow type diagonal lines moving lines across it, and also the picture is slightly fuzzy.0

It has the diagonal lines all the time?:idea:0

Doyou have anything else on the line, ie does it go into a DVD or Video recorder before it get to the new TV?0

Try removing the cable that connects the OTHER tv. Its possible that the scart (or whatever) is 'shorting' slightly, which can effect the aerial connection. If it cleans up, then you need a new decent scart (presuming thats how its connected):idea:0

Hi, thanks for replies. No there is nothing else connected to it, it goes straight from the Sky box to tv. I have also tried removing the scart but that is not helping either. Maybe I shall try a video sender?0

OK, it may be that you are getting interference from an existing channel on your 2nd TV, try altering the channel number in the Sky Receiver Menu to a different one, then retune your 2nd TV.
If it doesn't improve move it up/down by a couple of numbers, then retune again.0 -
Make sure that you have he RF outlet set to channel 68 & is powered on in the menu.
Have you tried connecting up the old tv that you had to see if the picture is any better or just the same. HTHYou can't be lost if you don't know where you're going.0 -

Utter tosh, channel 68 is the Sky Default Channel, but is actually used by some broadcasters for transmission, using 68 in some regions will actually cause problems.
