which is cheaper

Hi all i wonder if you can help me i need to know if its cheaper to have the central heating on or just the gas fire in the living room please

    Depends on your type of CH and your type of gas fire!
  • i dont know what info you want here but its gas central heating and gas fire. Gas fire only 2 years old where gas central heating 7 years

    The gas fire on low will probably clock up fewer kwh and cost less per hour but ... you're only heating one room and as soon as you open the door of the heated room, you'll have cold air waiting outside. Nobody can tell you for sure - you'd have to check your meter over a couple of hours with each. But it might not be the same the following day when your house or outside temp will be different.
