Just came from from Frost/Nixon and if this film goes to the Oscars, Langella deserves one. I haven't seen him so good since The House Under The Trees, when he was a matine sweetheart. Wonderful! And if Milk goes too, then it will be a Battle of Titans! :beer:Thanks to those who help us to win !0

I've just been to see Nick and Nora, I too was a bit disapointed with the ending, however found the film mildly amusing so give it 6/10.

Saw Frost/Nixon tonight at Leicester.
DS thought it was brilliant.
I wouldn't go that far, but very enjoyable, solid 7.5 out of 10
Thought Langella was excellent, Sheen very good, but disappointed with Kevin Bacon, and rest of cast. Not as much depth as I expected - which is probably why ds enjoyed it so much.
It made me feel sorry for Nixon, which surely at one point in the film, someone said was definitely what they didn't want to be the result of people watching the original interview.
Langella gave Nixon a warmth I cannot remember feeling at the time, and he became an intriguing mix of bumbling elderly stateman, and shrewed, manipulative opportunist.
Cinema only about 25% full, although it was in large screen;)
I would happily watch it again.0 -
I'm assuming everyone has had the email from seefilmfirst about the benjamin button start time but if not the correct timing is 8.30pm
This seems quite late for a film which is nearly 3 hours long. I wonder why they've chosen to screen it so late2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -
so can someone confirm that 8:30 is the start tim for 27th0
-
Yes that's a very late start time especially if you have to get up for work in the morning0

I got a text from seefilmfirst/tellten after frost/nixon, saying in return for feedback, I would get VIP access for 6 future screenings -how does this work? Is it saying 6 movies guaranteed?0
-
When you get free tickets are they a guaranteed seat? I have to travel 24 miles and don't want to be disappointed. (I will do other shopping etc.. to make cost effective) I've sky tickets for Ben B.
thanks0 -
