Hi ladies!
I'm thinking about treating myself and the mrs to the valentines day treat at the formby hotel.
I see it on here for £250 and have noticed lastminute.com is available on quidco for cashback.
Before I book this I would like to ask advice of someone who has been on a spa day before as to whether this is a good deal?
http://www.lastminute.com/lmn/pso/catalog/Product.jhtml?POSITION=1&PRODID=731943585&CATID=110125
And finally what would this come under on quidco?
4%for going out3%for travel options8%for gifts3.5%for a dynamic package booking7%for hotels
Shhh!!!! Don't tell her I'm trying to save money
EDIT: is it any different from this on at £150 found via a direct link?

I think the difference (apart from £100!) is that the lastminute offer includes the 'Atlast Rasul' experience for 2 people. I'd suggest calling the Formby direct and making up a package to your budget, they might be able to match the lastminute offer and possibly do it for less.0

£10 is a good offer, but beware the photos are very expensive.
A large print is £50 and a print on CD is £100 EACH.
You can fairly easily get them down from this.
So for example I got 5 pics on CD for £200, but BEWARE.
It's easy for people to say "oh, I won't buy any pictures", but I can assure you that they will make you look so lovely that you will want to buy them.
Push them down as they will go down, but if you can't afford it then you have to either be very strong willed or possibly not go.
Whatever your looks, I am pretty sure you will love your photos.
Mine are fantastic and I'm nothing out of the ordinary.
I did not intend to buy any but I spent £200 (fortunately not an issue for me, but think carefully if it IS an issue).
Have just bought one of these myself for Manchester - and am now quite scared about the bad reviews it appears to have! What was the experience like? Did you have any problems?0 -
My partner bought these for herself and two friends when they came up and upon trying to book a date to go along she was knocked back by the recepionist at formby hall who said all treatments had to be booked 4-6 weeks in advance and that this was stated on Lastminute.
Now they have no available slots before the vouchers are due to expire.
Now if this is really the case i guess its hard lines but my partner is very careful when it comes to T&C's and doenst miss much and similar offers for formby hall on LM at the moment carry no such terms and in fact state they are taking booking for treatments up till april.
Im wondering if she is just being fobbed off and if so what to do about it?0 -

We went to Formby Hall yesterday, and tried to change a booking for next week. It's a treat for my mum, and even though we've been able to change, we've had to forego out treatments because they can only fit one in. The receptionist did say they are booked up till June now, and it is not possible to pay to extend the vouchers. They don't say you HAVE to book 4-6 weeks in advance, but that it's recommended, as they are busy. The trouble is, if they are full, they are full.
What she did say is that it's possible to go and use the facilities and not have a treatment. You could do that?
Alternatively, they may fit you in on Friday 27/03, as we cancelled for that day - 3 spa days and 1 facial. Worth a try if you can get there then?
Have to say that it was a lovely day. And some bloke from GMTV was in the pool when we were.0 -
I managed to book about 2 weeks before and we went and we went yesterday, they didn't have a slot available till 6.20 for the Atlas Rasul but when we got there they advised us that they might be able to get us in earlier and they did. For those unable to get a booking perhaps try ringing every day or so and get a cancellation? Or go and just ask one the day, if they can fit you in? The facilities are great:- gym, swimming pool, "experience showers", 2 steam rooms, a sauna, foot spa and the heated loungers (which i fell asleep on!!)Save £12k in 2017 / Dec 2017 Travel Cash = £12,400 / £14,000 88.5%[/COLOR]

I went to Formby Hall a couple of weeks ago and had the Atlas Rasul treatment. Again like clairewych I was at 6.50 in the evening and thought that I might have to forego the treatment altogether to get my train back to London but they couldn't have being more accommadating when I arrived. I just explained about wanting to get an earlier train back to London and they fitted me in 30 minutes later and it was worth it. I say go for it, just be nice to the receptionists and you'll find that they will do their best to try to slot you in. Have a great time it is lovely there.
