Yay I just booked for me and my mum £20 each thanks OP what a bargain!!Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls
1st Baby due June 2016 :happylove0 -
I bought one of these spa day + facial deals for 2 (me & DD) at Bannatynes. Now this seems like a dumb question, but I've never been to one before - what do we need to take with us?0
-
This is a very helpful warning - I've been to this twice, once just DD, once DD & me, & you do have to be prepared to be strong willed. You get one photo in the deal anyway (for which you have to pay £5 postage). The deluxe package is £40 for 2 people & includes a haircut, which makes it a great deal if you stick at that. I have to say, they didn't really try & push the photo sales on us.£10 is a good offer, but beware the photos are very expensive.
A large print is £50 and a print on CD is £100 EACH.
You can fairly easily get them down from this.
So for example I got 5 pics on CD for £200, but BEWARE.
It's easy for people to say "oh, I won't buy any pictures", but I can assure you that they will make you look so lovely that you will want to buy them.
Push them down as they will go down, but if you can't afford it then you have to either be very strong willed or possibly not go.
Whatever your looks, I am pretty sure you will love your photos.
Mine are fantastic and I'm nothing out of the ordinary.
I did not intend to buy any but I spent £200 (fortunately not an issue for me, but think carefully if it IS an issue).0 -
what do we need to take with us?
Well you need money.
You might like to take a couple of swimming costumes so you don't have to get back into a wet one.
You shouldn't need towels as they are provided.
You might like to take a book or magazines and maybe a "turbie towel" if you have long hair (and a hair band to put your hair up).
Other than that I would take as little as possible.
I leave my earings at home.
Most places have lockers but you'll probably want to take your jewellry off and there is a risk of misplacing it so probably best to leave it at home.
Some jewelry can be affected by the chemicals in jacuzzis so you'll be advised to remove it (and obviously you don't want to lose anything in the pool).
If slippers are not provided you might want to take flip flops (but not slippers that might get soogy.
Normally slippers and robes are provided.
If you're really skint you might want to sneak in a packed lunch.0 -
This is such a great offer, however the lastminute.com website is rubbish!
i got upto the last stage of buying Formby Hall vouchers and all three of my cards were declined! So i tried again with Portland Spa, refreshed it about 20 times and finally the payment went through!
I hadn't realized that there was no treatment included and the OH wasn't too keen on the prices so i have ebayed them and so far they are going for £25 with 10 watchers so i'm already making a profit and hopefully they will go for more!
Then i checked my bank account and noticed lastminute.com had infact taken the payment twice although they had declined my first order so i emailed customer services, firstly they said that my order had infact been processed correctly and that i should be recieving the Formby Hall tickets aswell, however when i resent the confirmation order it was still saying order declined, i wrote back and asked customer services to update my account to say order accepted and asked to have the confirmation email sent.
When i got home the tickets for Formby had infact arrived so i was quite pleased. At work the next morning i had an email waiting for me from customer services saying that they apologize but it appears that the Formby Hall order had infact been cancelled and i wouldn't be recieving the tickets (that they had already sent me) and that they would send me a refund!!!
So all in all i have made a profit on the tickets for Portland Hall Spa and also have a free spa day and mud treatment for 2 at Formby Hall Spa courtesy of lastminute.com!!Save £12k in 2017 / Dec 2017 Travel Cash = £12,400 / £14,000 88.5%[/COLOR]
House Deposit = £20,500 / £18,000:money:0 -

Did you not place your order on 8th Jan? As far as I know, there is no specific date with Formby Hall (certainly, I didn't pick a date) - you ring up and book when you want to go. The vouchers are valid for 3 months.
Just checked my account and it doesn't show that I've booked a date. It just shows that the vouchers were ordered on 8th Jan. Check again - you've probably not read it quite right.
Ah, I can see what you mean now. You go into the order and it does show the date "booked for". I wouldn't worry too much - the 8th is the order date for me, so I guess that's where it fits in, as there is no "booked for" date.0 -
My voucher for Nirvana only came this morning, so maybe they just started sending them out0

Thanks for putting my mind at rest , I thought I hadn't booked anything :Asarahg1969 wrote: »Did you not place your order on 8th Jan?
