Offer to bank of lowered repayments?

Hi Guys,
I have had a credit card acc stopped (still under limit by £200) and am being asked to make repayments this month of £550, which is slightly bizarre?
Anyway, is there a letter I could send off to them requesting a nominal payment, then small monthly repayments after that?
Thanks for any advice
Andy

Nationwide credit card...
Reclaimed charges on them, got them back, out of the blue they said they were closing the acc, i would have to re-apply if i wanted a new card. Then sent a letter to me requesting £541 as a monthly repayment (it was £35 before)
Thanks0 -
This post giving one person's view of Nationwide's attitude to reclaiming bank charges may be relevant. I would suggest applying for a card elsewhere and transferring- and ASAP if you think they may downgrade your credit file for failing to meet their demanded payment.
