This is how bad the economy is....

About 3 months ago in my locality there were 1 main post office and 3 sub offices based around the town. In all their wisdon they decided to close the great little sub post offices and just keep the main PO in town. Yesterday the main Post office and 2 others in local towns owed by the same franchise went into administration...yes our main and only post office went into Administration! Seems PO Counters have stepped in, in the short term in the hope that someone else takes over the franchise...why would they if they aren't making any money!

Looks like I will have to put a hold on ebaying as without travelling I can't get to a PO

Morning all, I'm with Redquirrel and have taken a day off sick for the first time in years!! Feel really lightheaded and nauseaous - must be some strain of the bug that's floating around. Very strange feeling though! PJ's and cups of tea for me .... and a NSD!

Have got some work I can get on with to prepare for a meeting tomorrow - so not really having a proper 'take to you bed and watch daytime TV' day.

Glad that you are feeling so positive Tigtag. I'm usually with you - life is definately what you make it. I work on the basis that if you are feeling fed up inside no one can see it and the only person you are hurting is yourself, and I want 'me' to be happy! A simple philosophy but it works for me. Most things can be sorted out and coming on this site fills me with massive optomism that my debts will be paid off and we'll have a life back! Our debt is the biggest issue we have so can't wait to be free. ..... the only way is up!

So impressed Maz with the swimming. It takes some doing to go out in the cold, get wet and then go back out into it!

Luc, I think the banking world has gone mad .... we have had 5 offers of loans and credit cards since the 1st Jan, all 'guaranteed and we just have to make a phone call' .... NO CHANCE!!!! One had an APR of 29.3%!

    Have a lovely day all.

    Morning all

I'm with Bunny today - Aunt Flo is truly evil and if she never comes to visit again I will be happy!

On a positive note I have lost 2 lbs! so 12lbs to go over the next 6 weeks.

Got to take DS1 to the orthodontist today so that should be amusing!
Just going to add some more pics of our Disney holiday to Facebook

DD are you watching the series of Paul McKenna that was on TV??
Hi Sally, no - I have only got Freeview so not seen the programme, I have the book and CD. I stopped smoking with Allen Carr's book which while not the same thing - it is about the psychological issue rather than the physical so I think the same thing applies.

I can't really abide diets and counting and forbidden foods... too lazy :p

Hope you didn't get too cold on your way to work!
