Zone Alarm incompatible with Vista?

Hi,
My father has just bought a new laptop. I've tried to download Zone Alarm on to it but have received a message saying there are compatibility issues and the download aborted itself.
Will ZA not work at all with Vista? Or is there something I can do to fix this?
Alternatively, is there a better/alternative protection to use with Vista?

I tried it myself. It DID work, but it kept stopping my net from working intermittently so I got rid
I use PCTOOLS FIREWALL

I also had problems with ZoneAlarm so I ditched it and now use Comodo Firewall. Easy to set-up then forget it. It's that easy.
