Sammy Save ? any idea what this is

Does anyone know what Sammy Save is.
Husband and I seperated 7 months ago
To cut long story short - he borrowed back (without my knowledge) 45k from
mortgage - which was overpaid last year.

My lawyer and I dont agree with the removal of the money - but done now and we cant do anything about it.

Husband has invested this in something called Sammy Save
Ive hunted high and low to try to find what this is.

Does anyone have any idea.

Husband and his lawyer avoiding this like the plague - im just trying to find out whether or not this money invested safely.

Have 10 year old daughter to look after and work part time and care of disabled mother - money situation bad enough just now without someone taking uncessary risks.

Or is it his pet name for the mattress, new BMW, time share......
There is nothing out there on the internet that goes by that name, it sounds like a smokescreen or windup.

There are some "Sammy Savers" in the US, but they seem to be for small amounts for children - a Credit Union thing.

How do you know he has "invested" in this Sammy Save? Did he show you documentation, or did he just say he had? If it's the former, what kind of documentation did he show? If it's the latter, well, the answer is pretty clear....
    Mmmm, credit crunch. Tasty.

Thanks to all who have replied so far.

    His name aint Sammy
I had found the sammy save in USA - and got to admit sammy save sounds more like childs account

Only reason i found out was i managed to get joint bank statment
Had i not got this i would not have found out money removed from mortgage or paid into Sammy Save

Long shot i know but just wondered if anyone out their had heard of Sammy Save.
  • I feel like I have heard of it... but a google search doesn't yield much... perhaps I just think I've heard of it because it rolls off the tongue nicely...

But, it does sound very much like a child's account!

Its not one of those accounts that can have a separate savings pot added to the main account that has been named 'sammy save'.
We had a Barclays account with Pot 1, Pot 2 etc, but could have been named anything.

If the Statement line is showing that - then it's an electronic payment. Have a look in the online SOs / bill payments for the joint account .... and you should be able to find a bit more data re the account. And sometimes doing a Search on that can yield more info.

Even if he's deleted the SO / bill payment data you can sometimes uncover it (but you normally need a bit of the info to do that) ... or ask the Bank to trace the target account (as it's a joint account)
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
