Does anyone know the BT number which can be inputted to barr withheld telephone numbers?

Thanks

But you have to subscribe first.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • Yes I've gathered. Just been on the phone to BT and it's £11 a quarter. Not worth it, I only want to use it for a short while as I am getting a number of iffy phone calls. 1 claiming to be my other half's bank. He telephoned the banks he has accounts with and none have phoned the house.

get an answerphone. If someone is genuine they will leave their name and number ...

a lot of companies use withheld numbers and I wouldn't want to block someone who may be calling genuinely.
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
  • I have an answerphone and they ain't leaving messages.

Anyone genuine wouldn't withhold their number. Well that goes for me can't speak for others.

Most companies, large corporations and hospitals to name but a few withhold their calling number.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

I never answer witheld numbers - they can write if they must, if it's urgent they can knock on the door.
