Best Value Curtains

I need to get some new curtains. I don't want to spend a fortune, but I don't need to buy the cheapest either. Where is the best place to buy good value curtains?
I have read the guides to measuring, and done some reading on the internet (seems like lined curtains will pay for themselves with the heat they save), but where should I get them from?
Thanks

Personally, I would always make my own if you want the best value and most flexibility in patterns and linings etc. Other than that Dunelms comes to mind for good value.0

I found Boyes very cheap for lined curtains also WilkinsonsLook after the pennies and the pounds will spend themselves0

Local specialist shops can be great value - our nearby fabric warehouse-type place has a terrific selection of materials, ready-mades and they will make curtains up from any of their material in-house. They're very helpful as well!0

B&Ms have lined curtains at very good prices0

I have just got some real bargains from Boundary Mills in North Tyneside. They had a some good quality ready made seconds that were from £10 and said you could return them if any flaw was unacceptable. Another delivery was expected today.
If you find thin curtains at a really good price, I would buy fleece by the yard and make loose linings for them. I think you can get really wide fleece for about £5 per metre.0 -

I got a set from Dunelms, picked the fabric I wanted, picked the type of lining (also do blackout lining), picked the type of fitment (pleates, eyelets etc), picked the size, and they were made within 2-3 weeks. Very customisable and great value. I will use them again when I need more curtains.0
